LAS VEGAS, NV (AP) - The sites for the next 5 AFL Bowls have been chosen and were announced at a press conference yesterday at the AFL Headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada.  They are as follows:

2002 - Cheyenne, Wyoming (Rocky Mountain Cougars)

2003 - Tempe, Arizona (Tempe Hippos)

2004 - Albuquerque, New Mexico (Albuquerque Bandits)

2005 - Cleveland, Ohio (Cleveland Rocks)

2006 - Orlando, Florida (Orlando Jaguars)

In the past the AFL Bowl was hosted by the team with the better record (Fremont in 2000 and Brunswick in 2001) of the two participants in the game.  That didn't give the city much time to prepare for the influx of visitors and made for a chaotic weekend for both residents and fans that traveled to the event.  "These sites were chosen because of what the cities had to offer for that year", AFL Commission Jason Culley.  The commissioner also stated that each city will have an opportunity to host the big event, "No city will get a 2nd AFL Bowl before every city has a chance to showcase itself."
